Good afternoon families!

We've had an exciting last few weeks with trips to Mt. Sherman, Bear Creek Lake Park, and Leadville for an Outward Bound Ropes Course. Students have been learning and growing together and I'm proud of the work we are doing here!

Our word of the month for September is Success, and students wrote about what Success means to them. Ask your student what they shared in class!

Some important reminders:

  • Picture Day is Monday, October 9th. Students may dress down/up for the day, but need to bring movement clothes as they'll have movement that day. Seniors are exempt from movement.

  • At pick-up, for safety reasons, you must be parked all the way to the curb to stop and wait for your student. You may NOT double park on either Galapago or Fox Street. If there are no spots on Galapago or Fox Street, you must continue to circle the block until you can connect with your child. We know this is difficult sometimes. Thank you for understanding!

  • Affordable Connectivity Program( ACP)

  • Did you know that if your student participates in a free or reduced-price meal program, your household automatically qualifies for the Affordable Connectivity Program? The ACP is a federal government program that provides $30/month toward home internet service, making some plans FREE. The benefit can be applied to both new and existing plans.

If your student doesn’t participate in the free or reduced-price meal program, your household may still qualify for ACP. There are a number of ways for households to qualify for the benefit, including a household income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or current participation in another government assistance program such as SNAP, Medicaid, or Federal Public Housing Assistance. Please see the attachments for more information.

Here's what is coming up in the next few weeks!
