GALS Alumni Scholarships

The Girls Athletic Leadership School in Denver is proud to support our alumni on their journey beyond high school. Three scholarship opportunities are available for the 2026–2027 academic year — open to any former GALS student, whether you attended middle school or high school.

Who Can Apply?

If you ever walked the halls of GALS Denver — middle school or high school — you're eligible. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and awarded as funds become available.

Former GALS Students
Any alumna who attended GALS middle school or high school at any point in time is welcome to apply.
Rolling Applications
There's no single deadline — applications are reviewed continuously and awards are made as funds allow.
Multiple Opportunities
Three distinct scholarships are available, each designed to meet different paths and needs.

Succeed Academically Scholarship

$2500

This scholarship celebrates academic excellence. It is open to any former GALS student pursuing a college degree at any institution. Priority is given to students with strong GPAs, strong test scores, and noteworthy academic achievements earned during their high school years.
 
If you worked hard in the classroom and are ready to keep pushing forward in college, this award is for you.

Live Boldly Scholarship

$2500

Designed for GALS alumni who need financial support to make college a reality. This scholarship is for students who graduated from a Denver high school and are pursuing a college degree within the state of Colorado.
 
Financial need must be demonstrated through a Free and Reduced Lunch designation in high school or through your FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) number.

Cielo Scholarship

Up to $8000

Our most generous scholarship, the Cielo award supports GALS alumni pursuing a technical or vocational degree with a clear path to immediate job placement after certification. Programs such as Medical Assisting, Cosmetology, and similar fields at community colleges or technical schools will be considered.
 
This scholarship honors every form of ambition — not just the four-year path.
