2025 GALS Denver Celebration Breakfast:

Trailblazing for 15 Years

We fundraise $1,500 per student annually to uphold our unique school program. Our 15th anniversary celebration on February 25th included the following highlights:

- Showcasing the spirit of advocacy engrained in GALS Denver, students marched in with signs demonstrating what matters most to them. We’re proud to be encouraging young women+ to speak up bravely!
- We recognized founders Nina Safane and Liz Wolfson, trailblazers who sparked our mission to elevate students to be active, bold, leaders. We also celebrated the lifelong educational advocacy efforts of 2025 Honoree Jennifer Holladay.
- Students introduced our community art project—a tribute to the remarkable individuals who have supported GALS Denver’s journey. Guests decorated footprints with inspirational messages that will come together in a mural. This piece will soon grace our halls as a lasting symbol of our mission.

Jennifer Holladay

Jennifer Holladay is a policy and strategy consultant with over 20 years of experience helping education-focused clients navigate complex challenges. At Denver Public Schools, she led policy development and improved access for diverse student populations, earning recognition as the 2021 Authorizer of the Year. Her work with the Southern Poverty Law Center advanced educational equity and reduced exclusionary discipline practices.
