Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are the face of GALS—leading prospective students and families through their first experiences on campus. Their role is essential in shaping the warm, accepting and welcoming environment we pride ourselves on.

From October to February during SchoolChoice Round 1, our ambassadors play a key role in:

Shadow Days – Hosting prospective students for a day-in-the-life experience, answering questions, and making them feel at home. Ambassadors are asked to arrive to school 15 minutes early to greet shadow students and their families, and then take their shadow to their classes for half of the day.

Campus Tours – Always ready for a tour group to pop into a classroom, ambassadors volunteer to step out of class and share insights about school life, and highlight what they're learning about.

Information Sessions & Open Houses – On a rolling volunteer-basis, ambassadors are asked to join the enrollment team during evening Info Sessions hosted at GALS. From sharing personal experiences, answering questions and engaging with prospective families, this is a wonderful window for prospective students to see how the school operates.

During SchoolChoice Round 2 in April and May, ambassadors focus on:

Welcoming Newly Accepted Students – Assisting with events like Family Welcome Night designed to help new students transition into the GALS community.

Spring Tours – Continuing to volunteer to step out of class and share insights about school life, and highlight what they're learning about during group tours of the school.

Spring Shadow Days – Hosting prospective students for a day-in-the-life experience, answering questions, and making them feel at home. Ambassadors are asked to arrive to school 15 minutes early to greet shadow students and their families, and then take their shadow to their classes for half of the day.
